No account
The current site does not provide user accounts, sign-in, profile pages, subscriptions, or cloud project storage. You can use the melody editor without submitting personal details to the app.
Melody data
Notes, chords, key, scale, tempo, instrument choices, and download format are handled in the browser during your session. The app does not upload your melody grid or downloaded MIDI/WAV file to an app account or project library.
Downloads
MIDI and WAV downloads are generated from the browser state. A download action creates a local file on your device. The app does not need to receive the downloaded file to create it.
Feedback submissions
If you submit feedback, the site processes the feedback type, your message, optional reply email, page URL, and ordinary technical request details so the message can be stored in a private feedback database and reviewed. The feedback form is for bug reports and feature ideas.
Theme preference
The light/dark theme toggle may store a small preference in your browser so the site can remember your selected theme. This preference is local to your browser.
SoundFont requests
When you play a melody, preload an instrument, or render a WAV file, your browser may request public SoundFont sample files from gleitz.github.io. That external host may receive ordinary network request information such as IP address, browser details, and the requested sample URL.
Hosting logs
Like most websites, the hosting environment may process standard technical logs such as request time, page path, IP address, browser, and error information. These logs are used for operating, debugging, and securing the site.
No sale of data
The current app does not sell personal data, run user accounts, or operate an advertising profile system inside the melody editor.
