About Melody Creator

Melody Creator helps you build short musical ideas on an 8-row, 16-step grid. You can start from a preset, try a random melody idea, or place notes manually by tapping cells.

The current tool is built for melody sketches, hooks, motifs, lesson examples, and draft ideas you can move into a DAW or another music workflow.

• 16-step melody grid with browser playback.
• Key and scale controls, including major, minor, pentatonic, and blues.
• Optional backing chords and editable chord progressions.
• Instrument timbres powered by SoundFont samples.
• MIDI download for editing and WAV download for audio playback.
• Light and dark themes stored as a local browser preference.

Melody Creator is not a full song generator, lyrics generator, vocal tool, cloud DAW, or account-based storage product. The new idea button uses local pattern logic; it does not call an AI model.

The editor runs in the browser and does not require an account. Your melody grid is not uploaded by the app, and MIDI/WAV files are created from the browser session when you download them.
